The 3rd L’Étape Greece by Tour de France 2025 returns to Ancient Olympia on April 12, attracting 2,000 cyclists from all over the world.
The countdown to the 3rd L’Étape Greece by Tour de France presented by Škoda 2025, co-organized by ευZHN feelόsophy, the Region of Western Greece and the Municipality of Ancient Olympia, has begun. On April 12, 2025, more than 2,000 cyclists of all levels and visitors of all ages from all over the world will meet in the heart of Ancient Olympia to fill a historic site with smiles, passion and bicycles, “traveling” to the authentic Tour de France.
With dedication and enthusiasm, Kosmocar – Škoda supports the event for the third consecutive year as a nominal sponsor and official Mobility Partner, uniting its passion for the car with its historical relationship with the bicycle that began 130 years ago.
The three new unique cycling routes, inspired by the proposals of the athletes themselves, combining historic villages and impressive natural landscapes, give participants the opportunity to challenge themselves, while discovering the beauty of western Greece:
The Race
The longest and most demanding route of the race in two loops totaling 150 kilometers with an altitude difference of 2,500 meters, which crosses dozens of mountain villages, lush green areas and the ancient oak forest of Foloi.
The Ride
A faster, but equally impressive route, passing through historical settlements, Byzantine churches and beautiful landscapes in a loop of 85 kilometers with an altitude difference of 1,400 meters.
The Fun Ride
A beautiful and easy cycling excursion of 17 kilometers for everyone – from 9 to 99 years old – without timekeeping and competition, with a safety escort that will introduce the whole family to the unique world of cycling.
On March 15-16, 2025, almost a month before the race, the organization invites all cyclists to “conquer” the new routes for their best preparation and to participate in a beautiful cycling challenge, taking part in the two-day introductory camp in Ancient Olympia, which includes overnight accommodation, catering, cycling support, technical assistance and experienced cyclists.
The cycling festival that unites cyclists from all over the world and promotes Greece as a cycling and tourist destination, returns in April to the historic location that “gave birth” to the Olympic Games.
