Crete awaits millions of tourists from all over the world for another year
Crete swept the Tripadvisor reviews and managed to enter the list of the 10 most popular holiday destinations, worldwide, in 2025. Entrepreneurs active in the tourism industry appear optimistic that this year will be an even better year compared to 2024.
Crete is among the top 10 destinations in the world for 2025, according to traveler reviews, highlighted by Tripadvisor’s Travelers’ Choice Awards. These are awards based on the quality and quantity of reviews on Tripadvisor, specifically for each subcategory: for accommodations, restaurants and activities in destinations by travelers worldwide.
The reviews that were measured are those between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024 and Crete managed to climb to 9th place worldwide. At the top is London, followed by Bali. The rankings are as follows:
