Seitan Harbour (or Stephanos) is 22 km from the city of Chania and 2 km from the village of Chordaki. Set on the east side of the peninsular, it is a small beach hidden in a inlet in the rocks. With its sand and gravel beach and blue waters it looks like a small fjord.
This was a well kept secret of the region, but in recent years has become quite famous: as a result it attracts many visitors.
This being so, you should avoid the peak season and visit rather in the early or late summer. Despite its reputation, the beach remains unorganized so you should plan ahead for the necessities.
To reach the beach you have to walk about 20 minutes along a fairly easy path from where you leave your car.
Experienced lovers of canyons can explore the Diplochachalo canyon that also leads to the beach.
