Ιn the framework of the “JoInOuT” (Joint Innovative Activities for OutDoor Tourism) pilot program, Business to Business (B2B) Meetings were held with great success on Wednesday, March 8 at the Multicenter of the Municipality of Heraklion, , under the auspices of e-paithros Rural Tourism Network. The meetings started at 10:00 am and lasted until 17:00 pm.

In the meetings participated the companies – members of the e-paithros Cluster with the aim of further networking and cooperation between them.

e-paithros is a Network of cooperation and support for Rural Tourism which aims to strengthen and enrich the tourism product of the countryside and to contribute to the sustainable tourism development of the countryside.

The project entitled JoInOuT (Joint Innovative Activities for OutDoor Tourism), which is under the auspices of e-paithros Network, brings together a set of innovative tourism products aimed at visitors and businesses that are primarily active in the countryside, with the aim of highlighting and promoting the tourist experience.

The services of e-paithros and JoInOuT are expected to strengthen the competitiveness and sustainability of businesses and at the same time the creation and maintenance of jobs, as well as the increase of revenues from services that add value and sustainability to the tourism of Crete and the country. In particular, the JoInOuT project:

  • Contributes to the promotion of alternative tourism destinations and support to professionals and rural visitors in order to ensure quality and unique travel experiences.
  • Strengthens the attraction of alternative tourism.
  • Contributes to the lengthening of the tourist season.

The project entitled "Partnership of Innovative Rural Tourism Actions" and distinctive title: "JoInOuT", is implemented within the framework of the Action "Cooperative Innovation Formations/SCC" - 2nd Call: Businesses" and is financed by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) and by National Resources in the context of the Operational Program "Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship and Innovation (EPANEK)" of the NSRF 2014-2020" (Project code: ΓΓ2CL-0359457).
