Sitia Municipality
The company was founded out of the need to satisfy the demand for the best quality olive oil around Sitia, which had to be produced and bottled according to strict quality standards. Spearheaded by the Holy Monastery of Toplou and with the participation of 23 olive producers, after numerous meetings and discussions, this became a reality in November 1999.
In the olive groves, the well-known variety “Koroneiki” is cultivated.
Our desire to create a truly cosy accommodation led us to the conception of the idea of Hiona Holiday Hotel.
