Beaches at Ammoudi

A string of bays enclose the beaches of Ammoudaki, Kleisidi and Large Ammoudi (or just Ammoudi). A little further off is Schoinaria.

Small Ammoudi Beach

The westernmost is the smallest of these: with white sand, crystal clear but cold water and frequented by nudists. Though not organized, it does have a café-canteen where you can get umbrellas and sunbeds. When there, the cave at is west end is worth taking a look at.

At the east end there is a way through to Klesidi, a small gap where you can wade through.

Kleisidi Beach

Next door to Ammoudaki is this small beach, with sand and turquoise waters. A feature is the large rock in the centre of the small bay.

Watch a really cool video of this hidden gem. One can wade from this to Ammoudaki to the west.

Ammoudi Beach (Large Ammoudi)

Large Ammoudi is better organized than the other two – with umbrellas. Around it are rooms to rent and small tavernas. The coarse white sand will impress you. Appropriately as it is fine for diving (in its green waters), it has a diving School on it.

East of Ammoudi is Schoinaria – a good spot for relaxation and tranquility.

Schoinaria

This is a beautiful beach with sand, small pebbles and blue crystal-clear and deep waters. The luxurious seabed is most suited to diving: here too a diving centre runs both day and nighttime explorations.

Organized as it is, you will find umbrellas, sunbeds and showers, whilst close by is a taverna.
