A mere 2.5 km from the city of Chania, Chrysi Akti beach consists of two sandy beaches with clear and shallow waters which are separated by a small hill.
The west beach is organized with all the amenities: umbrellas, sunbeds, a lifeguard, facilities for water sports, while the eastern beach called Aptera is less organized and less busy.
Due to their easy access by city bus, they are a good choice for a swim for both locals and for those who have chosen to stay in the city of Chania for their holidays.
