The beach (the Bramble) and its associated village lie on the borders of the two prefectures of Heraklion and Lasithi. It is a large deserted stretch with small pebbles and blue waters.
Neither rent-rooms nor other services exist. All you will discover are a few tamarisk trees to offer you their shade.
If here on 27th July, it is worth visiting the church of Aghios Panteleimonas here for his name day festival.Close by to Vatos is Myrtos, a small seaside hamlet that fronts a marvelous beach.
