Within the framework of JoInOuT project, Neurolingo successfully completed the implementation of the chatbot. The tasks commenced with the analysis of dialogues, identifying entities, and recognizing intent needs. Through these tasks, the terms and syntactic rules required to feed the NLP platform were determined. Concurrently, the NLU mechanism and dialogue management core were designed to implement dialogue flow, and connections were established with external systems. The tasks were carried out for, the maritime transport chatbot and the search for outdoor tourism services and activities based on epaithros data.
Specifically, the tasks leading to the completion of the epaithros chatbot included:
- Analysis and study of dialogue for route search and outdoor tourism activity information.
- Analysis - Identification of entities, terms, and intentions. Recording of syntactic patterns in which the above appear in dialogues.
- Linguistic Rule Formation - Enrichment of the Mnemosyne Linguistic Background.
- Development of the Natural Language Understanding (NLU) unit of Mnemosyne to process user-written propositions in chatbot dialogues.
- Development of a REST + JSON web service offering NLU functionality for integration with other third-party chatbot systems outside the present one.
- Development of the chatbot's Dialogue Engine responsible for transferring dialogue propositions.
- Development of the Natural Language Generation (NLG) unit of the chatbot responsible for controlling dialogue flow, interfacing with the Knowledge Base, and generating responses.
- Development of the Knowledge Base unit where route data and outdoor tourism activity information are stored.
- Testing the correctness of NLU chatbot results and making improvements to increase the accuracy of feature extraction for user-written propositions.
- Testing the correctness of dialogue conduct with the chatbot and implementing improvements to its mechanisms to improve success rates.
- Interoperable connections with external systems and epaithros databases and maritime transport information.
