Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, Heraklion, Crete
Two major events for Innovation, under the auspices of the Region of Crete, will take place on Thursday, March 28 and Friday, March 29, 2024, in Heraklion, Crete, at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce and the Foundation for Research and Technology (FORTH).
The first event concerns the Two-Day Innovation Conference titled Innovation Crete 5.0: "Innovation in Crete today and the stakeholders supporting it," which is being organized for the 5th time this year, on March 28 & 29 at 17:00 at the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, Kastellaki Hall.
The conference presents a significant opportunity for information on Crete's innovation initiatives and includes 11 panels, 9 workshops, and 96 speakers, including 37 key stakeholders and funds. Its thematic areas include financing in the initial stages and funding entities, funds from the Innovation window, early-stage innovation support structures, Crete's innovation hub and its contribution to the regional ecosystem, the action of international companies in the Cretan ecosystem, institutional support bodies for entrepreneurship, innovation in agri-food, development opportunities for Research Teams and Start-ups in Health, European digital innovation hubs, and the role of women in business leadership.
Concurrently to the conference, 9 workshops will be held in the Karouzos Hall of the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, covering topics such as capital search, intellectual property, smartHEALTH: Innovative Digital Health Services, communication with Web professionals for successful digital activities, results of Policy Workshops, innovation in the circular economy, innovation in tourism, strategies for commercializing research results, and sustainable entrepreneurship in Crete.
On Friday, March 29th at 18:30, epaithros will participate in the 6th out of the nine Workshops, as part of the two-day conference Innovation Grete 5.0 at the Karouzou Hall in the Heraklion Chamber of Commerce, regarding innovation in tourism, in Crete.
As part of the workshop, Dr. Chryssa Pagalou, the coordinator of the Rural Tourism Network "epaithros," will present the innovative collaborative formation in the field of rural tourism, the effort to upgrade the tourist products and services of its members, as well as the support provided to its members, mainly through the technological platform it offers. It is the first networking umbrella for rural tourism in Greece, which develops, strengthens, and enriches the tourist product.
