The journey to traverse Richtis Gorge begins at the village of Exo Mouliana, where we can see the Byzantine church of Saint George. There are also preserved Venetian buildings and a fountain.
Continuing northeast along our route, we will encounter the stone arched bridge of Lachanas, constructed in the 19th century. About midway through the route, we will come across old watermills. As we proceed through the lush environment, we will see significant species of fauna and flora, such as the freshwater crab (Potamon potamios), the butterfly Panaxia Quadripunctaria (Jersey Tiger Moth), the eel (Anguilla anguilla), and the oriental plane trees (Platanus orientalis).
Following a downhill path, we will reach the Richtis waterfall, which is 20 meters high and forms a pond. This enchanting sight makes the journey worthwhile.
Completing the route and exiting the gorge, we will end up at the pebbled beach of Richtis.
