It is located approximately 6 km from the archaeological site of Knossos and 3 km from Archanes. It has five rooms, where all contents of a typical Cretan house of the earlier part of the 20th century are displayed, as well as tools and equipment used in traditional professions, stone and wooden objects, memorabilia from the Battle of Crete, even windmills,in the outdoor area.
