The Cultural Organization Androidus – Argastiri lies at the heart of Digital Culture, while simultaneously designing and organizing contemporary cultural productions. The organization's philosophy focuses on bridging cultural heritage with the digital era and social innovation.
Based in Anogeia, on Psiloritis, the Cultural Organization Androidus-Argastiri was formed by two autonomous entities: the cultural entity Androidus (NPO) and the Argastiri for Culture, Innovation and Research (Social Cooperative Enterprise) .
Guided by the triad of preservation, management, and dissemination of cultural capital, the organization develops technological applications of virtual, augmented, and mixed reality, alongside the creation of digital repositories of oral history and the production of audiovisual and thematic content.
Through scientific research and interdisciplinary collaborations, the organization aims to create cultural products and initiatives that promote cultural dialogue, social participation, and the interaction between human beings, technology, and cultural heritage.
With the vision of creating a cultural ecosystem in Crete, we actively contribute to initiatives for cultural democracy and the enhancement of culture as a vector for positive societal evolution.
