JoInOuT | e-learning platform for the members of e-paithros Network by IDEA training

In the framework of JolnOuT project, an e-learning platform was created for the members of the e-paithros Network. The educational materials are designed on the basis of Sustainable Development and Rural Tourism.

The educational programme of JoInOuT e-learning platform was created by the Project Team of IDEA training. It is structured in seven (7) Modules aiming to cover the following Alternative Forms of Tourism in an interdisciplinary and intersectional  approach:


Focus Group on the perceptions of e-paithros’ members on Sustainable Tourism

In the framework of  JoInOuT project, a qualitative research was conducted through a Focus Group which focused on exploring the perceptions and attitudes of the members of the e-paithros Network regarding Sustainable Development and Rural Tourism.

During the virtual Focus Group, three themes were discussed using photos, images and infographics:


Research for the creation of educational material on Sustainable Rural Tourism

In the framework of the JoInOuT project, a survey was conducted by I.D.E.A. training, which focused on the investigation of the educational needs of entrepreneurs and employees of the members of the e-paithros Network, focusing on Sustainable Development and Rural Tourism .

The findings collected are mainly quantitative and are used by IDEA in the design of the training material for the needs of the same project. The data highlighted both the background of the participants in terms of their knowledge so far and their further training needs. In particular:


Kapsali Beach (Peristerionas)

The beach of Kapsali (or Peristerionas, meaning the Pigeon or Dove) is close to a Cape of the same name (Peristerionas): between Keratokampos and Arvi.

Beach at Aghiofarango

This is a small gorge that runs about a kilometer south of Martsalo: it takes its name from the 300 hermits reported to have practiced here.

Beach at Martsalo

Situated at the mouth of the Martsaliotiko Gorge, it is a secluded little beach, surrounded by cliffs – with sand, small pebbles and cold clear water.

The beaches of Tsoutsouras

The village has a small harbour, where equally small boasts can be beached: to either side bays have formed, with an overall length of 2 km.
