Aghia Pelagia is one of THE most popular summer destinations in the Heraklion prefecture.

Within walking distance of Agia Pelagia and 22 km from Heraklion, in a small, enclosed cove is the beach Psaromoura.

The beach Mononaftis is 23 km from the town of Heraklion and just 1 km from the popular tourist resort of Agia Pelagia.

Between this beach at the west and Tertsa to the east lies that of Vourdolakos.

At a distance of 12 km south of Agios Nikolaos is the settlement of Istro.

Going along to the east, towards Keratokampos, the next beach you meet is Larinaki.

Kastri

This is right next door to the organized seaside settlement of Keratokampos. Here is a small harbour with boats and the local fishing-smacks.

Meakis beach, close to Arvi, is beautiful and quiet, with sand, a few pebbles and blue waters.

The area embraced by this name includes the modern settlement, about a kilometer back from the beach and some 40 m higher ..

About a kilometer to the east of Meakis is Arvi itself, which has a small port and a lovely beach.
